Be a Superior Execution Leader
Posted by Moss under: Business .
The execution leader drives to get things done, not just any thing but those specific things that produce desired results. The execution leader operates inside the Pareto Principle, i.e. taking the 20% actions that produce 80% of the results. This leader knows specifically what has to happen in each department and between departments to produce greater results.
For example, he drives the sales manager, the marketing manager, the customer service manager, or whatever other managers, directors, or VP’s there are to specify goals, roles, plans, and actions to ensure company success. As a leader, the execution partner needs to be a self-starter, results-oriented, systems thinker, practical problem solver, and accountability person. This is the person who is the voice for focused action.
Bottom Line
- Someone has to drive for results.
- Execution focuses on taking those actions that produce specific results.
- Some people are better suited to execute than others.
- Execution is extremely important for success.
- Learn to value the Execution Leader.
- Don’t take things personally.
