Focus: Keep your eye on the Bull’s eye
Posted by Moss under: Business .
Earlier, I blogged about Passion and What’s Important. Today I want to say something about Focus.
I like golf. I can sometimes shoot in the high 80’s! Other times I can barely break 100. What accounts for these 12-15 stroke differences?
It’s focus!
When I stand back from the ball, think about what I want to do and visualize the flight path of the ball, I stand a better chance of getting a lower score.
When I only approach the ball and swing away, my shots are more erratic. I’m not focused.
Isn’t success in life a lot like golf? When you think about what your goal is, plan for execution and then follow the plan and act, aren’t you more likely to succeed than simply “showing up” and taking action.
It could be a sales call, a customer service conversation or facilitating a weekly meeting. Successful Navigators focus first on the desired outcome, make an action plan and then execute.
Give Focus a try!
Think first!
Act second!
Go for a better score!
